### Notifications
EVCC supports status notifications using Telegram, PushOver and many more services as offered by [shoutrrr](https://containrrr.dev/shoutrrr) notification library. Configuration allows to define custom messages for several events and to setup the used notification service(s):
```yaml
messaging:
events:
[...]
services:
[...]
```
#### Notification Events
The available events are:
- `start`: Charge start
- `stop`: Charge stop
- `connect`: Vehicle connect
- `disconnect`: Vehicle disconnect
Configuration is done according to the scheme of following example for the `start` event:
```yaml
start: # charge start event
title: Charge started
msg: Started charging in "${mode}" mode
```
#### Notification Services
Following types of notification services can be configured:
- `pushover`: [Pushover](https://pushover.net/)
- `telegram`: [Telegram Messenger](https://telegram.org/)
- `email`: Email (by using [shoutrrr](https://containrrr.dev/shoutrrr) service url: `smtp://username:password@host:port/?fromAddress=fromAddress&toAddresses=recipient1[,recipient2,...]`)
- `shout`: Any service supported by [shoutrrr](https://containrrr.dev/shoutrrr) notification library (see below)
Configuration examples can be found in `evcc.dist.yaml`.
Any [shoutrrr](https://containrrr.dev/shoutrrr) service is configured according to the following example for a [Gotify](https://gotify.net/) server:
```yaml
- type: shout
uri: gotify://gotify.example.com:443/AzyoeNS.D4iJLVa/?priority=1
```
Please refer to the [shoutrrr](https://containrrr.dev/shoutrrr) documentation for [supported services](https://containrrr.dev/shoutrrr/v0.5/services/overview/) and further details.
## Plugins
Plugins are used to integrate various devices and external data sources with EVCC. Plugins can be used in combination with a `custom` type meter, charger or vehicle.
